Dream a little...

I made a little something just for fun. And I thought I'd share it.

Please bear with me as I share a few thoughts....

I went on one of my fave blogs today ( I follow this girl religiously) and I saw she started blogging in 2009 already. Whilst comparing myself dangerously to her and a few others like her (whose work is absolutely amazing), I started reading her first post and then the second and then the third... and what really struck me is how far she has come! Her blog is simply amazing! Back then it was small, simplistic, with short blogposts, and only a few pictures. Now its huge! She has an online shop, makes amazing things, she started pursuing her dream full time. She has really come a long way.

I can't really compare my beginning to someone else's middle. So I'm excited to start this journey! I know journey's start with a single step. So this is me taking a step. My picture, my hand drawn wreath, my watercolour mask, all of this is a first step. I may suck. My work may look bland next to theirs, but I am very excited to see what this step forward could lead to!

Is it Christmas already??

I heard via the grapevine that all the stores are already covered in Christmas decorations! Errr'body's complaining that it's too soon, but to me it's sooo exciting to know the festive season is around the corner!

I got so excited that I spent my entire afternoon playing around with designs for prezzie tags! Here is my favourite one so far:

I will be playing around a bit more though, and the winner will be printed on my favourite paper {bamboo-sigh!}and then I will Take pictures and post them too! Stay tuned for my wrapping blog post in December! Eeek, cant wait! I am counting down the days already!

Saturday morning things and thoughts

I have finally decided to start making garters again. I know its been a while, and there are a few brides who never heard back from me because I was too scared of them, but I am back! And this time I am back for good!

I popped by BoereSjiek this morning because their chocolate cheese cake was screaming my name (I really heard it when I woke up this morning!) and their lattes is something I simply NEED to start my saturday with! While sitting there I was working on two pretty garter concepts! And I cant wait to share them with you! Till then, here are two sneakpreviews of two garters I have been working on for two clients.

I am excited about both of these and can't wait to share the final product with ya!

June Calender free printable

Today we bring you a lovely Month-of-June calender! A4 size means it is easy to print out and the perfect size to put on your pinboard by your desk. Yaaaay prettiness!!!!

We want to embrace every season and all the beauty that comes with it. June in Cape Town can be quite a cold one! So we'd love to wish you all that is warm, fluffy and fuzzy! I got myself a fluff-monster of a robe yesterday and I am really embracing winter at this moment cuddled up in its fluffiness while the rain is pouring down outside and the soothing sounds of Susie Suh's album is softly filling up the house. If you have not yet heard her song called I Do, do yourself a favour! I am absolutely in love with it!

You can click on this pic to link to the youtube song.
